Oh, busy busy busy these days. Hence the month without posting. Working a ton, doing capoeira five to six days a week and trying to pimp a graphic novel while penning an entirely different screenplay...well to say the least I've been a little preoccupied.
Unfortunately I haven't had much time to scan the Interweb for inspiration for interesting posts here. I find random updates on my life much more boring than finding something worth writing about and, well, writing about it. But, in the interest of making excuses for why I've neglected this blog, here are some updates.
Work: is a little crazy right now. Which is a good thing. Business is flowing in, which means my department gets to sizzle with new projects. New people keep getting added to the team. I wouldn't be surprised if the company had to find a new larger office a year or so from now.
Play: capoeira is my recess right now. It's my playtime. I went to Chicago recently for a quick capoeira trip. Started teaching in Westport (by the way, feel free to drop in) and did a great show at the KC Ethnic Festival for the third year straight. I've also designed a T shirt for the group. We're taking orders right now. Check out twitter.com/capoeirakc. The avatar is the T shirt design.
Writin': My graphic novel, which I'm not even sure if I've named ever on this blog, is complete....as in written. The pesky details of drawing, inking and coloring it have yet to begin. The website is in development. Pin up sketches from talented artists will soon be on their way. I'll keep you posted. I'll be going to a comic convention this weekend to hopefully sign an artist once and for all. Look for an early 2010 release date.
Art of the Deal sponsored by KC Ad Club kicked off last week. I and a small band of very talented writers and artists have taken on the task of developing creative for this year's Ad Club Charity Casino Night in November. One of my favorite events of the year.
So now you know why I've neglected you, blog. No hard feelings. Look for some more posts soon. I promise.

The Internet Messes With My Body Image

Such enthusiasm! And what a deal! $3 off?! That's unheard of in this economy!
Oh, if only I'd have gotten this at the beginning of swim suit season.
I don't want to know how it's done. I don't want to know what it'd feel like.
All I want to know is: who has 20 pounds of shit sitting in their colon, just chilling out? Parked. Hitching a ride.
Follow up question: who decides to make a living selling [or dare say ADMINISTERING] colon flushes of up to 20 pounds?
Honorable mention for entrepreneurial spirit. Gold medal for "iiiiiiiiiick".
