Ridiculous Stock Photography Brings You: Ethnic Café

Welcome to our new weekly series, Ridiculous Stock Photography.

Working in advertising exposes us to page after page of ridiculous, cliched and sometimes just plain awkward stock photos. Photos that companies around the world try to use to sell their products but instead label their hard work with sad excuses for photos.

So we travel...to the bottom of the photography barrel.

First up this week is the "business diversity" group shot. Here we have a line of obviously differently skin toned peeps with implied success (wearing a suit apparently = "successful" in stock photos). I presume this was taken from the point of view of the local Starbucks barista, located on the ground floor of these people's 87 story office building.

The message? Success is color blind. But, redheads still end up at the back of the line.

I also read your last post. Congratulations, eh? :)

I saw that the other day! How painfully obvious is THAT mistake?

And thanks for the parabens. Hoping to get to Victoria in March. Maybe I'll see you there.
